Blythe Belmont

Blythe Belmont is a recent graduate of Southern Virginia University where she studied her passion and received a degree in Fine Art. As a fifth grader, when posed with the question "What do you want to do when you grow up," Blythe was thoughtful about her defining answer. Choosing an occupation was too hard but her life's objective was clear! She admitted her goal was to be an inspiration to others no matter her occupation. At Montessori she's getting that opportunity like never before. Blythe is newly married and is receives her own inspiration daily from her husband, Ezra, who is currently studying Spanish and Family and Child Development at SVU. Although Blythe's family has California roots, she grew-up in Lynchburg, Virginia, but now calls Buena Vista home.

Paige Henson

My name is Paige Henson. Recently, I graduated from Clover High School in South Carolina and am now enrolled at Southern Virginia University. I plan to major in Business Management and Leadership. For the last two summers I have been a Youth Camp Leader at Camp Swannanoa and I also spent a summer working at Allison Creek Church Preschool. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing with my two Boston Terriers, and of course, shopping. I am looking forward to working with your children at Woodscreek Montessori and getting to know each of them. We are sure to have lots of fun together but our most important goal is to learn and grow.

Ezra Belmont

Ezra is a 22 year old student and husband (married to Blythe Belmont), currently attending Southern Virginia University who studies Family and Child Development as well as Spanish. He grew up in Ontario, California before coming to Buena Vista, Virginia for school. He plays soccer, speaks fluent Spanish, and plans to pursue graduate school in Marraige and Family Therapy or Social Work.

Jessi Gibbons

Jessi is currently working on her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Southern Virginia University, and will complete her degree in December.  After graduating she plans on teaching high school and ultimately plans on opening her own chain of charter schools which focuses on the learning process through means of creation and helping students both find and express their voice.

Jessi's earliest formal teaching experience began in 2004 when she began teaching private piano lessons.  Jessi has played the piano for 17 years and is an accomplished musician.  She has also interned in the Buena Vista City Public School System and has been employed in the Rockbridge County School system where she worked with 3rd-5th graders in an after school program which incorporated academic tutoring as well as instruction in Creative Movement and various creative outdoor activities and games. Jessi's most exotic teaching experience was in China in the fall of 2008 where she taught English at a Chinese international Kindergarten, where she also studied Mandarin Chinese and ancient Chinese Philosophy. Her students included Mandarin speaking children ages 2-5 from both China and Taiwan.  However, among her favorite teaching experiences, was in the Summer of 2009 at Woods Creek Montessori and is looking forward to another great summer with the Woods Creek family.

Summer is among Jessi's favorite seasons!  She is looking forward to the time she spend learning and exploring with the children at Woods Creek Montessori!
