When the school day ends,

Dinosaur children at Woods Creek Montessori have the opportunity to spend a few more hours with friends and teachers they love.

In After School, students may work crafts, paint or choose classroom works. This is an important time to let the children have less structure and enjoy themselves after a day of learning. Outside recreation is a vital part of After School, and when that is unavailable we give the children structured movement indoors.

Throughout the afternoon, children always have the opportunity to choose independent works such as puzzles, home-made Play-Doh stamp-printing, pasta-stringing, manipulatives, or dress-up play. They typically end the afternoon with active physical, social, and imaginative play on the play-ground.
